At Diligent Visionary Consultancy (referred to as "Diligion," or "the Firm"), a boutique consultancy operating in the Sultanate of Oman, we are committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the personal data entrusted to us. This Privacy Statement explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal data in accordance with the Oman Personal Data Protection Law (Royal Decree No. 6/2022) and its Executive Regulations.

Note: We do not process "sensitive data" (such as biometric, health, or ethnic data) except with prior authorisation from the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, where applicable.

Purpose of Processing

We use your data strictly for the following purposes:

  • Providing bespoke consultancy and advisory services.
  • Managing client relationships and responding to inquiries.
  • Sending newsletters or marketing materials (only with your prior written consent).
  • Complying with statutory audits and "Know Your Customer" (KYC) requirements.

We do not sell your personal data. We only disclose data to:

  • Service Processors: Third-party vendors (e.g., IT hosting) under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Regulatory Authorities: When required by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) or other Omani government bodies.
  • Cross-Border Transfers: If data is transferred outside of Oman, we ensure the recipient jurisdiction provides a level of protection at least equal to the Oman PDPL, and we will obtain your explicit consent for such transfers where required.

Security Measures

We implement robust technical and organisational measures to prevent unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. This includes encryption, access controls, and regular security audits. In the event of a data breach that poses a high risk to your rights, we will notify you and the MTCIT within 72 hours of discovery.

Your Rights (Data Subject Rights)

Under Article 11 of the PDPL, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Withdraw Consent: You may revoke your consent at any time.
  • Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You may request that we update or correct inaccurate data.
  • Right to Erasure: You may request the deletion of your data once the purpose for collection is fulfilled (subject to legal retention requirements).

We may update this statement to reflect changes in our practices or Omani law.
